As the individual items are being processed, a label is generated that has a brief description of the item, and a retail value. Some items are not in the original packaging, and therefore cannot be scanned. In this event, the item is given a “Generic” description and a value is assigned to the item, usually much lower than the actual retail value of the item (we call these Cherries). Our customers have been reporting a much lower damage/throwaway percentage than they have seen on other loads. There will be very little apparel or linens on these loads. You get a manifest on the load, retail prices on the merchandise, and product already defaced in accordance with brand requirements. From the pallet to the shelf!   This catalog merchandise is primarily gift related and small home décor merchandise very similar to ABC & LTD. The type of items you will typically find on these loads includes, but is not limited to: Figurines, Planters, Plant Stands, Kids Toys, Garden Décor, Lighting, Garden Tools, Bath Accessories, Crafts, Garage Accessories, Storage Solutions, Kitchen Accessories, Laundry Accessories, Luggage, Personal Care, Pet Accessories, Tool & Tool Kits, Apparel, Candles, Clocks, Dolls, Domestics, Electronics, Furniture, Jewelry, Stationary, Wall Décor, Seasonal (St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines), Gifts (Anniversary, For Her, For Him, For Kids), etc… The average load has 24 pallets with an average retail value of $40,000 - $48,000. These loads are not sold with a manifest. Two load types are available: “Catalog Customer Returns” and “Fit for Stock”. Catalog Customer Returns: You can expect approximately 10% - 15% of damage or throwaway on these loads. Your Cost = $4,950 Fit for Stock: Each item has been inspected and deemed to be fit for restocking. These loads are different from the salvage loads in that every item is assessed at the distribution center and deemed “fit for stock”. “Fit for Stock” means the item is in new condition, most items are unopened.
