These loads are represented to AML Inc. as “Processed Department Store Customer Returns”. What that basically means is that the clothing and linens have been removed from the load, every item is handled, and an assessment is made as to whether or not the item has resale value. Items that are determined to be “un-sellable” are discarded at the processing center. As the individual items are being processed, a label is generated that has a brief description of the item, and a retail value. Some items are not in the original packaging, and therefore cannot be scanned. In this event, the item is given a “Generic” description and a value is assigned to the item, usually much lower than the actual retail value of the item (we call these Cherries). Our customers have been reporting a much lower damage/throwaway percentage than they have seen on other loads. There will be very little apparel or linens on these loads. You get a manifest on the load, retail prices on the merchandise, and product already defaced in accordance with brand requirements. From the pallet to the shelf! It doesn’t get any easier than this, does it? 42 pallet, 36 pallet and 24 pallet loads are available.
