Major applications: 1. As intermediates of medicine: Large body of medical research and clinical trials have confirmed the following functions of tea polyphenols: Lowering blood sugar, treatingdiabetes, lowering blood fat, treating blood vessel and heart diseases, inhibiting cancer and mutation, as assistant measures for radiation treatments, anti-virus, anti-allergy, anti-radiation, preventing tooth cavities, detoxification and deodorization. 3. Chemical properties: Solubility: Readily dissolved in water, hydrated ethanol and hydrated methanol, bitter taste.
