Molecular formula: Zn(OOCH35C17)2 Property: It is white flammable nontoxic powder with specific gravity of 1.095. It can dissolve in hot common solvent and acid, but not in water, ethanol or aether. It will become to glue when cooled after being heated in the organic solvent and be decomposed to stearate or salt when meet strong acid and can absorb moisture in air. Specification : Testing items Excellent Grade 1 Free acid(accounted as stearic acid),%≤ 0.8 1.0 Melting point,℃≥ 120±5 120±5 Zinc content, % 10.3-11.3 10.3-11.3 Heating loss,% ≤ 0.8 1.0 Fineness, %≥ 99.0(mesh of 0.045mm) 99.5(mesh of 0.075mm) Usage : 1.As nontoxic stabilizer of PVC in consumption of 0.1～1% generally. 2.As lubricant of cosmetics. 3.As mould releasing agent of powder metallurgy and plastics products etc.. 4.As sulfuration accelerator of rubber products.
