These are the protective rubber (synthetic or natural) or hard plastic (usually Hytrel) covers that surround CV joints. The boot's job is to keep grease in and dirt and water out. Split, torn or otherwise damaged boots should be replaced immediately. Old boots should never be reused when servicing a joint. Always install new boots.
The quality of rubber boots used in our products are strictly examined. They have to pass several tests so as to ensure the endurability. They can keep elastic under -38 degrees centigrade and also airproof, and also ensure no crack under 90 degrees centigrade. Still, they can resist corrosion from the grease contained.
