VTIR-02 Infrared Module is equipped with an infrared sensor (Thermopile) in its front side. The Thermopile Sensor has to be pointed at the target object. The basic working principle of infrared module is: 1. Detecting infrared radiation with a thermopile sensor 2. Further analogue signal processing 3. Calculation of ambient and object temperature by using a microcontroller 4. Providing ambient and object temperature as digital output (SPI Operation) Field of View: The diagram below shows the measurement spot size depending on distance to measured surface. The maximum distance to measure the surface temperature of an object depends on the field of the sensor (90°) and the surface size of the object.
