Properties:

Pure metolachlor is light yellow oily liquid, Flash Point is 110-180°C, density is 1.12(20°C). The solubility of metolachlor in water is 530 mg/L at 20°C; Easy dissolves in alcohol, dichloromethane, benzene, toluene etc. many solvents. Hardly dissolves in ethylene glycol, petroleum. Its vapour pressure at 20°C is 1.7 x 10-3 Pa.2

Uses:

Metolachlor is a kind of selective herbicide before sprout. It is principally used for control of grasses in corn, beans, soybeans and other crops, and it is often applied in combination with broadleaf herbicides.

Toxicity:

Tech (Rat): Oral LD50 2780 mg/kg. Inhalation LC50 (4 h) >1.75 mg/l. (Rabbit): Dermal LD50 >10, 000 mg/kg. Non-irritating to eyes, mildly irritating to skin
