The majority of the component has 2-O- sulfo-L-indole pyran alduronic acid structure at the end of undegraded chain, and6-O-sulfo-2,5-angydride -D-mannitol at the end of the degraded chain
As a newantithrombotic drug, dalteparin sodium is the sodium salt of low molecularweight heparin obtained by nitrous acid depolymerization of heparin from porkintestinal mucosa. The average molecular weight of dalteparin sodium is about5000 Da. The acute toxicity of dalteparin sodium is far less than heparin.
