RTV-2 molding silicone rubber application:
RTV-2 molding silicone rubber are generally named two -component room temperature vulcanization RTV mold making silicone rubber, a kind elastic silicone rubber mold which features with resistance to deformation, high-temperature, acid-alkali and expansion. mold making silicone rubber mainly applicable to make the silicone mould for cultural relic duplication,architectural decoration, resin crafts, lighting ornaments, candles, statues, model design, product exploitation, etc.
RTV-2 molding silicone for PU resin & unsaturated resin crafts fetures:
RTV-2 molding silicone rubber is white flowing liquid with general hardness of 22-50A°after curing . If you want to make large products and large size molds, the mold should be made of RTV-2 silicone rubber with high hardness. On the contrary, if the mold with fine and precision patterns , RTV-2 silicone rubber should be made of silicon with low hardness. The amount of the curing agent depends on the actual requirements of the customer. If molds requiring fast drying and demould, more curing agent is needed; contrarily, if molds requiring slower drying and demould, less curing agent is needed.
RTV-2 Molding silicone rubber operations:
RTV-2 Molding silicone rubber is a kind of flowing liquid, and it consists of two component, part A is a flowable liquid silicone rubber, part B is the curing agent.
Firstly, after your previous work of dealing with the original model, take some liquid silicone rubber, add 2%~3% cuing agent of the amount of silicon and mix them evenly.
Then after vacuum-pumping the mixture, you can pour it into the mold frame. The silicone mold will cured in 2~3 hours.
Notes ofRTV-2 Molding silicone rubber operations:
The time for vacuum-pumping should be less than 3-5mins, otherwise, once the silicone rubber has cross-link reaction during vacuumizing, it will not be operated. And You should ensure that part A and part B mixed evenly.
