Introduction
Southeast University Science Park (SEUSP) is located in Nanjing. SEUSP comprises two subsidiary zones, namely the Entrepreneur Zone and the Industrial Zone. The Entrepreneur Zone is near to the state-level Nanjing High-tech Park; and it is the development center for advanced technologies in electronics, computers, telecommunication and software.
Currently more than 40 high-tech enterprises have joined the Park. The 60-ha industrial zone is located within Jiangning Economic & Technological Development Zone. Enterprises in the Industrial Zone enjoy preferential policies given to ETDZs.
Investment Climate
With registered capital of RMB 100 million (USD 12.09 million), SEUSP Holdings Corporation is in charge of the planning and development of the Park.
The result of a merger of former Southeast University, Nanjing Railway Medical College, and Nanjing Geological School, Southeast University (SEU) enjoys a history of over 100 years.
Some of its degree courses are among the best in China, such as architecture, civil engineering, electronic information, mechanical engineering, power & energy and transportation research. Among the 2,600 strong university faculty, there are 370 professors and 1,000 associate professors.
SEU has established exchange relationships with many overseas universities, such as University of Pennsylvania, Ohio State University and Syracuse University in the US, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Switzerland, Warwick University in the UK, Læ?·niversity de Rennes in France and Hong Kong University. Some MNCs such as Motorola, Sun Microsystems, Philips and Nokia have undertaken cooperative projects with the university.
