Introduction

E-4600 is equipped with the latest CATV electronic technology, including crystals simultaneous PLL vibration circuit, SAW IF circuit, hybrid amplifying circuit and CPU control. E-4600 modulator has one independent external audio and video IF loop. This independent IF loop carries 38MHz video IF and audio carrier 31.5MHz input loop. Also, the independent video IF and audio IF output loop has separate internal link to independent SAW filter. If external signal source is not used, RG-59 jump must be connected because the loss of any passed variable IF signal source will lead to lower RF output. E-4600 is high quality vestigial sideband equipment synthesized with audio and video carriers. E-4600 uses audio and video baseband signals coming from video recorder, video camera, or similar equipment as signal source. According to receiving standard, video input level is 0.5Vp-p~1.5Vp-p. The working parameters and status are displayed by LCD on front panel, such as output channel, output frequency, A/V ratio, video modulation depth, audio deviation, audio carrier, output level, test signal. The parameters are selectable by pressing the buttons on the panel, such as A/V ratio, video modulation depth, audio deviation, audio carrier, output level, test signal. As the rear interface provides independent video and audio IF input and output, the IF signal source can be changed, or IF encrypted equipment can be connected. The high quality SAW filter removes adjacent disturbance. The above characteristics are carefully designed into very low intermodulation level to allow many channels to mix and transmit to SMATV or CATV distribution system through adjacent operation.
