TOXICOL OGY:

• Mammalian toxicity.Acute oral LD₅₀ for rats>10000mg/kg.Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rats>2000mg/kg;a slight irritant to skin(guinea-pigs)adn eyes(rabbits). InhalationLC₅₀ for rats>0.48mg/l air.
• Non-mammalian toxicity.fish toxicityLC₅₀(96-h):for rainbow trout 1.6mg/l;for carp 10.3mg/l.

FORMULATION AND SPECIRCATION:

CHARACTERISTIS AND USES:

• Fenoxycarb is an insecticide that disrupts the development of the pest an insect growth regulator(IGR).
• In contrast to conventional neurotoxic insecticides that cause knockdown effects, it has and insect-specific mode of action exhibiting strong juvenile horone activity.
• It inhibits metamorphosis to the adult stage, interferes with the molying of early.
• It inhibits metamorphosis to the aduly stage, interferses with the molting of early instar larae, and involvs certain ovicide and delayed larvicde-adulticide eficcts in various insect species.
• The respomse of a parucular group of insects may be quite sqecific.
• It disrupts insect-specfic transformations and is effective against various Lepidoptera and scale insects on fruit, citrus, olives and vines at 5-10gAI/hl and is safe to many beneficial arthropods.Also used against mosquito larvae, fleas and cockroaches.
