The use of HEPARIN SODIUM INJECTION iscontraindicated in patients:· History of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia and heparin-inducedthrombocytopenia and thrombosis· Known hypersensitivity to heparin or pork products (e.g., anaphylactoidreactions)· In whom suitable blood coagulation tests (e.g., whole-blood clotting time,partial thromboplastin time) cannot be performed at appropriate intervals. Thiscontraindication refers to full-dose heparin regimens only; there is usually noneed to monitor coagulation parameters in patients receiving low-dose heparin.
