Operations Way of RTV-2 Silicone Rubber for Concrete Statues Molds Making:

Component A is white flowing liquid and component B is the curing agent. For example, take silicone rubber of 100g and add 2g curing agent for mixing evenly (silicone rubber and curing agent must be measured accurately). After the silicone rubber and the curing agent are completely mixed, put the silicon into a vacuum machine for deairing to remove the bubbles. After deaired, pouring the liquid silicone rubber into the product to be duplicated or into the mold frame.

If you don't have vacuum machine, please add 1.2% or 1.5% curing agent so that the bubbles can bubble itself. Since the less curing agent you add, the slower the mould will curdle, the bubbles will bubble out itself.

Packaging, storage and transportation of RTV-2 Silicone Rubber for Concrete Statues Molds Making:

(1) The RTV-2 silicone rubber is packed with vacuumed thick PE bag inside,and iron barrel (tin) outside, packing in 5 kg, 25 kg , 200 kg.

(2) The product should be stored in a cool dry place, avoid the sun and rain, avoid to touch with acids, alkalis, salts and other compounds. The shelf life is one year from the date of production. For some models , after three months, the viscosity will increase, generally no effect for the normal use.

(3) The goods is NOT subject to IMDG except the curing agent.

Why does the silicone mold get burnt out?

This consequence happens only because you have left out the important notes when using unsaturated resin materials to produce your products. The unsaturated resin produces great heat when added the curing agent. So you must demould the product within 3 minutes to avoid this problem.
