RTV-2 molding  silicone rubber is flowing liquid with general hardness of 22-50 A° after curing. Mould making silicon rubber is a kind elastic silicon rubber mould which features with resistance to deformation, high-temperature, acid-alkali and expansion as well as high reproduction times, good tensile strength, tear strength and elongation. Our curing agent is free charged.

If customers want to make large products and large size moulds, the mould should be made of silicon rubber with high hardness. On the contrary, if the mould with fine and precision patterns, it should be made of silicon with low hardness. The amount of the curing agent depends on the actual requirements of the customer. If mould requiring fast drying and demould, less curing is needed.

(Note: our company does not recommend you to add silicon oil. If a special soft silicom mould or fine detailed and complex patterns products are required, 5% - 10% silicon oil could be added to soften the mould for easy demould.)

Why does the silicon rubber for molding just has few duplication times?

RTV-2 molding silicone rubber just has few duplication times as due to following reasons: adding too much silicon oil which will destroy the molecular of silicon rubber, making the mould for small and fine detailed products with higher hardness silicon rubber which is easy to break; making the mould for large products with soft silicon rubber which will reduce the tensile and tear strength of the mould, and the mould will have deformation. Thus, we should take the proper silicon rubber to make the mould for suitable products.
