If the customer wants to make large products and large size molds, the mold should be made of silicon rubber with high hardness. On the contrary, if the mold with fine and precision patterns, it should be made of silicon with low hardness. The amount of the curing agent depends on the actual requirements of the customer. If molds requiring fast drying and demold, more curing agent is needed; contrarily, if molds requiring slower drying and demold, less curing agent is needed.

(Note: our company does not recommend you to add silicone oil. If a special soft silicone mold or fine detailed and complex patterns products are required, 5%-10% silicone oil can be added to soften the mold for easy demold.)

Why the silicon mold just can be reproduced for a few times?

a.Adding too much silicon oil into silicon rubber .silicon oil is an additive which destroies the molecular weight of silicon rubber and reduce the tension and tear strength.

b.Using the silicon rubber a high hardness to make molds for small sized products with delicate and intricate designs and the silicon rubber with a low hardness to make molds for large sized products with simple designs. so we should choose the silicon rubber specifically according to the requirements of our products to avoid this problem.  

Packaging, storage and transportation for Mold making silicone rubber for stone products:

1. This product need to be packed in clean, dry and sealed steel cans or drums. Part A and B need to be packed seperately. Usually it is packed in 5kg/can, 20 kg/drum, or 200 kg/drum . 

2. Please keep the material in a cool and dry place. Specially note that the silicone should not touch or mix with compounds including nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, tin, lead or metal organic acid. Otherwise, the catalyst will be poisoned, then the silicone can not be cured or just particially cured. For specific precautions, please refer to the instructions in Electronic Potting Silicone part.
3. The goods is NOT subject to IMDG.The shelflife is 18 months from the date of production.And it still can be used after expired, when retest to be qualified.
