       molds making materials rtv  silicone rubber is white or red flowing liquid with general hardness of 22-50A after curing. Molding silicone is a kind elastic silicone which features with resistance to deformation, high-temperature, acid-alkali and expansion as well as high reproduction times, good tensile strength, tears strength and elongation.

3) rtv silicone rubber operations

      If the customer wants to make large products and large size molds, the mold should be made of silicone material with high hardness. On the contrary, if the mold with fine and precision patterns, it should be made of silicone material with low hardness. The amount of the curing agent depends on the actual requirements of the customer. If molds requiring fast drying and demand, more curing agent is needed; contrarily, if molds requiring slower drying and demand, less curing agent is needed.

(Notes: our company does not recommend you to add silicone oil. If a special soft silicone material mold or fine detailed and complex patterns products are required, 5%-10% silicone oil can be added to soften the mold for easy demand.)

How to use

1. The cast pouring, for example:

Prepare a frame, fix the prototype for copy into the frame, (if the prototype’s material is glass or ceramic, the release agent is necessary to prevent sticking.

2. Take 2~3%curing agent of RTV, and mix it evenly with rubber.

3. Vacuum deforming in 1~3 min, inject the rubber into the type box, then vacuum deforming again, curing 24 hours in nature room temperature, use it after demand.

4. Detmold after 3 hours’ room temperature curing, and then use it after 24 hours’ keep mold under the same condition.

Storage

Sealing storage in the environment of dry, cool and ventilated. storage temperature should be kept during 0~40°C.

Shelf-life

4 months under above conditions. It remain can be used after shelf life if the technical data is qualified.
