1. Decription of Liquid Silicone Gel
Liquid silicone gel is a two part compound rubber and curing with platinum cure catalyst. As with a low viscosity, high tear strength and excellent duplication times, it's widely used for candle molds making, cake molds making and other product molds making .
It got a perfect feedback from our candle molds making manufacturers customers.
2.Features of Liquid Silicone Gel for Candle Mould Making
a.low viscosity
b.easy operation
c.long shelf life over 12 months
d.good tear strength and low shrinkage
e.curing at room temperature within 2-4hours
f.high duplication times and no deformation
3.Shelf life and package
The shelf life can be reach to 12 months at room temperature about 25c in orignal package.
Our normally package is 25kg/pail and 200kg/pail.
4.How to choose the right rubber materials to make candle mould?
according to the melting temperature of your wax
When your using wax that melts at between 130 C~200C, professional candle makers wil choose a urethane rubber to make the mould.
Advantage: easy to use
Disadvantage: urethane rubber is adhensive and sticky which would have damage to the original model and also would stick to some casting waxes.
When your using wax that melts above 200C, silicone rubber is your best choice. (the temperature resistance of our silicone gel for candle mould is about 250C)
Advantages:
Silicone resists higher temperature than that of urethane rubber.
The duplication times of silicone mould would be higher.
Silicone does not stick to the surfaces and sealing agents and release agents are not required. Disadvantages:
Silicone is more expensive
