Why the silicone pad is non-durable?

1. It has something to do with the addition of silicone oil. More silicone oil added, softer the pad printing will be, meanwhile the pad will be turned to be non-durable and easy ageing;

2. Some customers are unawre of the performance of rtv-2 silicone for pad printing. Actually, the durability of silicone printing pad is closely related to the size of printing patterns. Usually, we use large silicone pad for big patterns. On the contrary, small silicone pad for small patterns. Generally, the ratio of pad to pattern is 3:1.

Why the silicone pad did not absorb the ink?

Any silicone pad or liquid silicone rubber could absorb ink well. If large patterns or big letters need to print, the printing pad will for sure absorb ink well. For small letters, please do not use hard silicone pad, as it could not absorb the printing ink thoroughly from the steel plate.
