Question: Is there any plastic that touches the water?

Answer：The lid and filter contain plastic. Only will touch the water when pouring.

Question:How long does it take to heat to the 1L level?

Answer：Boil up 1L water will take about 5 minutes 40 seconds. 1.7 L water will need more than 8 minutes. It is quiet and when it finishes, you will hear a sound of click. 

Question:What is connecting the glass and the metal part inside the kettle (bottom)?

Answer：The stainless steel bottom is connceted the glass by glue. The glue is up to standard of FDA and LEGB and would not contact water inside the kettle. It is glass body and the bottom is stainless steel. 

Question:Does the automatic shut-off feature work properly after this product has been used for a long period of time?

Answer：I haven’t had any issues w/ auto shutoff. I’ve onky had it for about a year. Works well so far!
