1.Be sure you have your pet under control before ottempting to attach the retrable leash

2.Fasten the leash hool onto the metal loop of your pets collar

3.When lash is at a desired length,push the small top black button in with your thumb.This will cause the leash to lock.To released ,press the large black button down.To tempororily hold your pet at acetain length,hold down the largeblack button with your thumb.once released the leash will then begin to retract

4.If the retractable leash seperates itself from your dog`s collar during use immediately turn your face away and instantly apply the brake button
