Introduction

According to different processing, metal stamping could be classified into separating process and forming process. Separating is also called cutting, its purpose is to cut out expected shape from sheet metal, meanwhile assuring quality of the cutting edge. Purpose of forming process is to form designed shape and size by mould without any deformation of steel plate. In daily work, usually multiple processing is integrated to be used on one piece. Cutting ,bending, flattening, bulging, spinning, calibrating are the main stamping process. The surface and property of the sheet metal play a key role in quality of the finished stamping piece, thus requiring the raw material to have accurate thickness; clean surface, unspotted, scarless, no scratching, no cracks etc. The yield strength should be uniform, no obvious directivity; and with high elongation, low yield ratio.

Application:

Potential elimination of intermediate cleaning of parts between processes.

Easier weld-through compared to oil-based lubricants.

Easier to inspect parts for quality over oil-based products.

Clean easier in low temperature and low/neutral pH cleaning systems.

Improved tool life over conventional stamping lubricants.

Suitable for MQL, spray and roller application.

Possible elimination of dry-film lubricants &/or precoated steel coils.

Potential to reduce V.O.C. in stamping applications.

Excellent compatibility with porcelain enameling process.

Excellent compatibility with phosphate-free, TMC (transition metal conversion) coating surface treatments.

Advantage:

1.Longer Runs – The continuous material feed used in the progressive die stamping process allows for long runs.   Longer runs between material changes and tooling adjustments mean your parts can be produced in a much shorter time.

2.High Repeatability – The hard tooling die designs allow for high volume runs without die degradation.  This means that part quality remains high and there are fewer failed parts.

3.Lower Cost per Part – All of the factors above contribute to reducing the overall cost of your part.  Using progressive die stamping allows you to create robust parts in the most cost effective and expeditious manner.  We look forward to helping you save money on your next project!
