ANSI #50H Heavy Duty Roller Chain: 5/8" Pitch, B29.1 | CTS

The ANSI #50H heavy-duty roller chain is the strengthened version of the standard #50 chain — the same 5/8" (15.875 mm) pitch and roller geometry, built with thicker side plates for higher load capacity, better shock resistance, and longer service life.

Compared with a standard #50 roller chain, the #50H uses thicker 2.42 mm side plates instead of 2.03 mm, increasing chain weight from about 1.02 kg/m to 1.25 kg/m. That extra plate steel is where the heavy-duty rating comes from: it improves resistance to shock loads, vibration, and fatigue, so the chain keeps working where a standard #50 would stretch or wear out early. Pitch and roller dimensions remain unchanged (pitch 15.875 mm, roller diameter 10.16 mm, inner width 9.40 mm), so existing #50 sprockets can be reused without modification.

The chain is produced from heat-treated carbon steel with precision solid rollers and shot-peened plates, backed by ISO 9001:2015 quality management.
