The shell’s architecture is a result of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. Internal pillars are positioned to act as structural supports for the PCB while creating optimal air channels. The material is selected for a high Comparative Tracking Index (CTI > 400V) to prevent electrical tracking in high-humidity environments.
For GaN chargers operating at high frequencies, electromagnetic interference (EMI) is a critical concern. This housing features built-in ridges for EMI gasket placement and is designed to maintain proper grounding contact points between the PCB and shell, aiding in FCC/CE EMI compliance.
The plug-folding mechanism is engineered for over 10,000 cycles. A dual-injection molding process can be used to combine rigid PC for the main body with flexible TPE for cable strain relief, enhancing durability.
