Felix Glass Uncoated Plano-Convex Plano-Concave Cylindrical Lens N-BK7 Fused Silica for Laser Metrology

Detailed

Uncoated Plano-Convex & Plano-Concave Cylindrical Lens, N-BK7 & Fused Silica For Laser Scanning Optical Metrology

Felix Glass uncoated cylindrical lens is a one-dimensional beam shaping optical element, available in plano-convex (positive focusing) and plano-concave (negative diverging) two structures. Two mainstream optical substrates are optional: N-BK7 crown optical glass and high-purity fused silica, without any anti-reflection coating to meet special optical path requirements where film layer reflection interference is prohibited.

Cylindrical lens only focuses or diverges light along one single axis, forming linear laser spot, which is the core optical component for laser scanning, contour measurement, linear optical metrology and machine vision line scan detection. Ultra-precision surface polishing ensures uniform linear beam quality, stable focal line consistency for long-term precision measurement equipment.

Core Optical Specifications

- Optional Substrate: N-BK7 optical glass / High purity synthetic fused silica
- Lens Structure: Plano-convex (positive) & Plano-concave (negative) cylindrical single element

FAQ

1. What is the difference between cylindrical lens and spherical lens?
Cylindrical lens only shapes light on one axis to form linear laser spot, suitable for linear scanning metrology; spherical lens focuses light on two axes to form circular spot.
2. What is the difference between N-BK7 and fused silica cylindrical lens?
N-BK7 works for 400nm+ visible & near infrared with lower cost; fused silica transmits deep UV below 300nm, high temperature resistant for UV laser scanning equipment.
3. Why choose uncoated cylindrical lens instead of AR coated?
Uncoated surface avoids extra reflection interference from coating film, meeting special optical metrology systems that require pure raw glass light transmission without film stray light.
4. What laser scanning metrology equipment matches this cylindrical lens?
It fits laser contour scanners, line scan machine vision detectors, UV laser linear positioning systems and industrial precision dimensional measuring instruments.
5. Do you provide sample production for uncoated cylindrical lenses?
We supply single-spec sample trial and mass customized production, all cylindrical lenses pass linear beam uniformity and surface quality inspection before shipment.
