BT-301 Powder Tap Density tester

Tap density refers to fill in a particular container with certain amount of powder, and vibrate the powder at a certain frequency and amplitude, read the volume of powder when the volume of it is no longer reduce, then divide the powder weight by the volume and tap density can be obtained. BT-301 tap density tester developed by Bettersize is a kind of instrument specialized for measuring powder tap density. The instrument also has two test methods of "fixed weight" and "fixed volume" , so it is in accordance with Chinese national standard GB/T 21354-2008, the equivalent international standard ISO3953:1993 and various industry standards, and at the same time comply with the provisions of the United States pharmacopoeia on drug tap density, as a result, it is a universal tap density instrument. BT-301 tap density tester is consist of timing system, control system, drive mechanism, actuating mechanism and accessory parts and so on, has characteristics of adjustable vibration frequency (in order to apply different industry), easy operation, durable service, accurate measurement etc, is applicable to fields such as non-metallic powder, metal powder, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, battery, abrasives, scientific research and teaching etc, is an ideal instrument for measuring tap density in powder industry.
The basic working process of BT - 301 is to fix the measuring cylinder filled with powder on the mechanical vibration device. Vibration motor drives the mechanical vibration device to go up and down. Graduated test tubes containing powder vibrate along with the rhythm of the mechanical vibration device. With the increase of times of vibration , the powder in the cylinder gradually gets compacted. Vibration device stops after preset number of vibration is reach. Read the volume of powder inside the test tube. According to the definition of density: divide the mass by its volume, so that powder tap density can be obtained.

Testing items
?Tap density measured by Fixed weight method: First, weigh a certain amount of (usually 100 grams) powder and packed all of them into the measuring cylinder, and then fix the measuring cylinder filled with powder on the instrument and vibrate it. After vibration is complete, measure its volume by visual inspection according to the height of powder surface, and then tap density can be calculated.
?Tap density measured by Fixed volume method (optional): first, fill more amount of powder in a container of 100 ml (the container with extension tube), then fixed it on the instrument and vibrate it. After vibration is complete, remove the extension tube. Level off the mouth of 100ml container with a scraper, and then weigh the powder weight, thus the tap density is calculated.
