  Description of molding silicone rubber for plaster sculpture

molding silicone rubber is a kind of flowable liquid silicone, the quality has nothing to do with the color.

 It consists of two components. Part A is a flowable liquid silicone rubber, part B is the curing agent. Firstly, after your previous work of dealing with the original model, take some liquid silicone rubber , add 2%-3% curing agent of the amount of silicon, and mix them evenly. Then after vacuum-pumping the mixture, you can pour it into the mold frame. The silicone mold will cured in 2-4 hours.

Operation guide of molding silicone rubber for plaster sculpture

1. Stir part A and part B with right mixing ratio (100:5) evenly. And get the mixture for vacuum-pumping. (If there is no vacuum machine, just mix less catalyst)

2. Clean your products and brush a layer of release agent (detergent or soap water) on your product.

3. Pour the mixture with correct mixing ratio into the model frame.

After about 3-5 hours, when the silicone get cured, take out the original mold, and there is th finished silicone mould.

Storage of molding silicone rubber for plaster sculpture

RTV 2 silicone for casting stone molds is an environmentally-friendly liquid silicone product, is not easy to burn and can be stored and transported as non-hazardous goods. The shelf life of the product is about 9 months from the date of production. Inspection is required when exceeding the time limited. It can continue to be used in case of neither thickening nor deterioration.
