Dynamic Particle Imaging and Analyzing System (BT-1800)

BT-1800 dynamic image particle size analysis system is an integration of built-in circulating and dispersing system and image particle size and morphology analysis system with high speed camera. It is a high-tech product which integrates microscopic imaging technology, automatic control technology and image processing technology together. After adding the sample into the circulating system, the system will automatically circulate, disperse sample, and shoot particle image continuously and then process and analyze particle images. This system has advantages of intuition, visualization, accuracy, automatic identification, statistics, quantification etc. It not only can be used to observe particle morphology, but also can get particle size distribution, aspect ratio, circularity etc. Therefore it provides a new testing means for scientific research and the production fields.

Principle
Based on the statistics of pixel number contained by each particle, calculate equivalent circle area, so that diameter of equivalent circle area, diameter of equivalent sphere volume, aspect ratio etc of particles are obtained, and then get the data of particle size distribution.
 
Calibration method
Take a picture of standard scale specialized for microscope; calibrate the area of each pixel by counting pixel number in the distance of 100 um; and then calculate the size of a particle according to pixel number contained by each particle image.
 
Main features
 
Unique automatic circulating and dispersing system: BT-1800 system includes ultrasonic disperser, agitator, circulating pump, imaging window, automatic water supply and drainage system, etc. It can capture sample images continuously under the condition of flowing sample, which overcome the disadvantages of complicated sample preparation and poor representativeness of static image analyzer.
Automatic multi-image processing function: high speed camera will shoot hundreds of particle images under flowing sample, and the captured images will be stored automatically into computers. After shooting, these images will be automatically processed, after segmented by software, particles with different size will be distinguished by different colors, and then the particle size distribution is obtained.
High speed CCD camera: BT-1800 adopts the imported high speed camera and the shooting speed is 120 frames/sec. It ensures the captured images under the flowing state have no tailing phenomenon, so that the dynamic image has same effect as the static one.
Automatic focusing system: BT-1800 is equipped with precision stepping motor and focal adjusting device, with image definition recognition software so as to realize the automatic focus, to ensure that all images have good and consistent definition.
Powerful software processing system: BT-1800 image analysis software has functions of automatic segmentation, automatic multi-image processing, automatic calibration, automatic analysis etc.
