Instructions

     Clean the object you intend to use to create the mold. You can use almost anything to make your custom mold including seashells, buttons, or small toys.

   • 2

     Mix equal amounts of the silicone molding putty components together until the mixture has a uniform color. The molding putty will come in two separate components which will become activated when they are mixed together. These components are tinted with different colors to help you determine when they have been properly mixed together.

   • Shape the molding putty into a square, rectangle or circle slightly larger than the object you wish to use to create your mold.

   • 4

     Press the object firmly into the center of the molding putty. Allow the putty to dry for at least one hour.

   • 5

     Pop the object out of the putty when it is dry by pressing up on the bottom of the mold. The mold will be flexible and should snap back into shape after you have removed the object.

   • 6

     Use the mold according to the directions on the brand of silicone molding putty you have purchased. Many of these molds can be used in the freezer as well as ovens up to 450 degrees F.
