Introduction of Biomass-fired Hot Air Furnace

Biomass energy is a form of energy that solar energy stores in biomass in the form of chemical energy, i.e. the biomass as energy carrier. It is directly or indirectly derived from the photosynthesis of green plants, which can be converted into conventional solid, liquid and gaseous fuels.

Operating Preinciple of Biomass-fired Hot Air Furnace

MBZ biomass-fired hot air furnace is made up of MBL burner, hot air purifying room, air-mixing room, cinder conveyor and so on. Here we use type MBL-1400 burner to provide primary heat. It consumes 1400kg fuel per hour and provides 5 million kcal   per hour.

Biomass is fed into the hopper through the loader, the fuel at a certain height is sent by chain grate into the burning room of burner, hot flue gas produced by burning biomass flows out from one side of burner and enters hot air purifying room. The hot air purifying room is built of fire resistant material; hot flue gas begins secondary burning in the purifying room. The dust produced by burning coal impacts, aggregates and drops in the purifying room. Clean hot air at about 1000deg.C from purifying room mixes into some fresh air in air-mixing room, the mixture at demanded temperature is then sent to spray dryer to dry slurry. Temperature of hot air is adjustable according to technics(300~450deg.C). When hot air is supplied continuously, its temperature fluctuates between ±5℃.Cinder is scraped from the other side of burner by cinder conveyor and carried away by handcart.

In 2007 we developed the biomass fired hot air furnace. In May 2009 the first biomass fired hot air furnace (MBZ1300) was debugged and run successfully in Unilevel China. It consumes 20000 to 25000 tons of biomass (straw ) annually, no sulfur oxide emissions, greenhouse gas emissions reduces 15000 tons per year.
