2、Excellent high-temperature resistance

Aluminized Silicon products have good high temperature resistance. When the temperature is 450 ℃, it can ensure high reflectivity.When it is used for a long time under 550 ℃, it hardly changes. The aluminized silicon coated steel plate will maintain a bright appearance. Its heat resistance is equivalent to that of stainless steel 4 0 9 . The galvanized products will change color and be powdered at 300 ℃.

3、Excellent corrosion resistance

The aluminized silicon products have excelle nt corrosion resistance. The dense Al2O3 oxide film formed by the oxidation of the aluminum surface isolates the steel base from the oxidation medium, so that the coating will not cause further corrosion even under very bad environmental conditions, so it s corrosion resistance is very strong, and it also has good corrosion resistance to nitric acid, sea water, etc. the corrosion resistan ce of the aluminized silicon products is far greater than that of the galvanized products Product. The corrosion resistance of Alu minized Silicon products is 3-5 times that of galvanized products.

Aluminized Structural Components

The aluminizing process is a chemical heat treatment technique where workpieces are placed in an aluminum-containing medium, heated to a specific temperature, and held at that temperature to allow aluminum atoms to diffuse into the surface of the workpiece, forming an iron-aluminum alloy layer.

Characteristics of Aluminized Structural Components:

· Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The iron-aluminum alloy layer exhibits superior resistance to corrosion from atmospheric conditions, seawater, hydrogen sulfide, and other media. Its corrosion resistance can be several times to several tens of times higher than that of ordinary carbon steel. · Good High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance: The aluminized layer can form a dense aluminum oxide film at high temperatures, effectively preventing further oxidation of the substrate and enhancing the workpiece's resistance to high-temperature oxidation. · High Surface Hardness and Wear Resistance: The aluminized layer has high hardness and good wear resistance, which can extend the service life of the workpiece. · Relatively Low Cost: Compared to using corrosion-resistant materials like stainless steel, the aluminizing process can significantly reduce costs.

What is the difference between aluminized steel Type 1 (T1) and Type 2 (T2)?

Type 1 (T1) uses an aluminum-silicon coating (about 5–11% Si) and is designed for heat resistance up to about 677 °C continuous service; Type 2 (T2) uses a pure aluminum coating mainly for atmospheric corrosion resistance. In China, only Type 1 (T1) is produced, and MESCO is one of the top 3 T1 manufacturers.
