About S42 Agricultural Chain
S42 is one of the S-type steel agricultural chains we build to DIN 8189, the European standard for S-series farm chains, and it sits in the same family as the rest of our [S-type steel agricultural chains]. S-type is the solid-roller, heat-treated, pre-stretched family used on harvesters, balers and conveyors, running on standard S-type sprockets. Because the sizes are standardised, our S42 can replace the same size from other suppliers.
Within the S-series, S42 belongs to the light-but-strong group. The link plates are thick, and the pin is heavy for its pitch, yet the chain stays easy to handle. It is the size to pick when you want real pulling power without adding much rotating weight on dusty, damp, continuous jobs.

S42 is stronger than the smaller S32 and lighter than the longer-pitch S45 and S55. The pitch differs between them, so the chains are not interchangeable.
