ASTM A588 Steel Beam
ASTM A588 steel beam not only has high tensile and yield strengths, but also exhibits good resistance to atmospheric corrosion due to its low copper content. Given its high strength, it is lighter in weight than A36 steel without any reduction in strength. At the same time, it is the best material for outdoor applications and has an orange-brown surface. It is mostly used for bridges, buildings and construction equipment; frames for automobiles and machinery; and transmission and communication towers.
