Titanium is an important structural metal developed in 1950s. Titanium alloy has high 
strength, good corrosion resistance and high heat resistance. In the 50~60 years of twentieth 
Century, the development of high temperature titanium alloys for aero engines and structural
 titanium alloys used in the airframe were mainly developed.
A batch of corrosion resistant titanium alloys have been developed in 70s. Since 80s, 
corrosion resistant titanium alloys and high strength titanium alloys have been further developed.
 Titanium alloys are mainly used for making aircraft engine compressor components, followed 
by structures of rockets, missiles and high speed aircraft.

Titanium is a new type of metal. The performance of titanium is related to the content of impurities
 such as carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen. The purity of titanium iodide is less than 0.1%, 
but its strength is low and its plasticity is high. 99.5% properties of industrial pure titanium: the 
density of =4.5g/ cm, a melting point of 1725 DEG C, coefficient of heat conductivity of =15.24W/ (m.K), 
tensile strength b=539MPa, elongation =25%, section shrinkage of PSI =25%, elastic modulus E=
1.078 * 105MPa, hardness HB195.

High intensity
The density of the titanium alloy is generally around 4.51g/ cubic centimeters,
Only 60% of the steel, the density of pure titanium is close to the density of ordinary steel, and some
 high strength titanium alloys exceed the strength of many alloy structural steels. Therefore, the specific 
strength (intensity / density) of titanium alloy is much larger than that of other metal structure materials.

 are used for aircraft engine components, skeleton, skins, fasteners and landing gear.
High heat intensity
The use of temperature is higher than a few Baidu Aluminum Alloy, can still maintain the required strength 
at moderate temperatures at 450 ~ 500 DEG C under the long-term work of these two kinds of titanium 
alloy in the range of 150 to 500 DEG C still have high specific strength, and Aluminum Alloy at 150 DEG C 
than the strength decreased significantly. The working temperature of the titanium alloy can reach 500 
degrees C, and the aluminum alloy is below 200 c.
